3 Easy Ways To Remove Shortcut Virus From Pendrive In 2020

We all use Pendrive on a daily bases. And it really helps us to carry GB's of data in a very small device. But sometimes we often face the most frustrating problem that is shortcut viruses. these shortcut viruses get automatically created that is impossible to delete manually. So in today's post, I am going to share three easy tricks to remove shortcut virus from Pendrive or from your computer. 

Before we start learning tricks let me explain to you very quickly why these shortcut viruses created in your Pendrive or computer.

First of all, connect your Pendrive to the computer and open cmd by pressing windows+r and type cmd and hit enter or you can simply type CMD in the start menu and hit enter.

Now type the following command in your cmd, attrib j:*.* /d /s -h -r -s ( Replace j to your Pendrive letter).

After you are all set, hit enter and wait for a second until the process is done, And you will see your Pendrive shortcut will be vanished.

Note: If somehow it doesn't work on your computer then you can try the rest of the methods.

2- Using NotePad

This is same as CMD,  just copy that code and paste it to Notepad (don't forget to change letter to your pen drive letter) 

Now save it as the .bat format (in my case it is virus.bat)

And after that, run this bat file and your shortcut virus will be removed. the best part about this trick is you can carry this file to your android or Pendrive. Whenever you will need to remove shortcut viruses simply run. you don't have to type this again and again.

3- Using Shortcut Remover Tool

Just download and install shortcut remover tool in your PC and follow the simple steps↴

Open the software, on the bottom right corner you will see an option "Scan Shortcut", click on that and choose your desired drive.

After that, you will see an option "Select Invalid" just click on that, and it will select all the shortcut files. you even filter just by name. after selecting your desired setting. Click on the "delete" and that's it, all the selected shortcut virus will be removed in just a minute.
